Tunisian-German Cooperation Shines at AHK and GBS Ramadan Event

AHK & German Business School’s Ramadan Evening: Celebrating Tunisian-German Ties Through Innovation and Cooperation. A Wonderful Opportunity for Attendees to Discover Various Tunisian-German Cooperation Programs in the Presence of the German Ambassador

On March 27, 2025, the German-Tunisian Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) and the German Business School (GBS) organized an exceptional Ramadan evening at the SAP Next-Gen Lab on the UIT Campus. This event combined conviviality and exploration of strategic innovations within the SAP ecosystem, while celebrating the spirit of sharing inherent to the month of Ramadan.

The evening began with an opening speech by H.E. Mrs. Wolbers, Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Tunisia, followed by inspiring speeches from Mr. Ghazi El Biche and Mr. Maher Tebourbi, Presidents of AHK and GBS respectively. Three key drivers for a Successful Partnership; attendees explored concrete initiatives through three dedicated exhibition areas.

  1. Fachkräfte: Recruitment and retraining program at AHK, presented by Firas Gham. This project targets 11 African countries and aims to promote skilled labor for Germany, and attract German companies to form partnerships or even establish themselves in Tunisia, particularly in the sectors of IT, mechanical industry, automation, as well as logistics and transport.
  2. Bachelor and MBA Programs presented by Program Manager Mr. Samir Douik and GBS students: Study programs offered by GBS that strengthen the Tunisian-German ecosystem with international mobility and recognition.
  3. Presentation of SAP Training Programs by Linda Badri, SAP Program Coordinator. These training programs, in partnership with SAP, aim to improve the performance and strategic decision-making of Tunisian and German companies; they also include recruitment, innovation, and apprenticeship programs at UIT.

A key moment of the evening was the signing of a partnership between DXC Tunisia and UIT, a pilot model of a new cooperation approach. This type of partnership allows Tunisian talents to work in an international environment in Tunisia, thanks to prospecting work in Germany by AHK and high-quality training to German standards provided by GBS.

The evening took place in a warm Ramadan atmosphere, with pleasant Andalusian music under the sound of the qanun, fostering exchanges and the discovery of cooperation and investment opportunities in Tunisia.

We thank all participants for their presence and commitment, and we look forward to continuing to work together to strengthen Tunisian-German relations.
