The German Business School (GBS) and the Tunisian-German Chamber of Industry and Commerce (AHK) organized on Thursday, April 28th, a business gathering and a friendly networking evening.
The event brought together officials from the Tunisian-German institutional and professional communities, partner companies, GBS executives, and MBA students.
in his welcome's speech, Mr. Georg Felsheim - H.E. the Minister and Deputy Head of Mission to the German Embassy in Tunisia - praised the efforts made by GBS to connect MBA students with international companies from different sectors : "This is an opportunity to bring together students who have opted for a high-level course and are currently working in Tunisian, German, European, and international companies". He also expressed in an interview his excitement about the diversity in the GBS community and Alumni in terms of professional backgrounds and experiences.
In a followed statement in front of the presents, Mr Jörn Bousselmi - the General Director of the Tunisian-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry - highlighted the successful and sustainable partnership with the German Business School and its positive effects on the community: "The GBS program is particularly suited to the needs of companies. I truly believe that our collaboration will deepen in the future specially that the AHK is a loyal partner of the GBS".
After the opening ceremony Mr. Maher Tebourbi - President of the GBS - took the floor to present the different study programs offered by the GBS, as follows:
Bachelor in Business Administration BBA
The BBA is an undergraduate study program allowing high school graduates to master the fundamentals and the best practices of Business Administration. This English taught Bachelor's Degree is accredited by the FIBAA and meets the German education quality requirements. Furthermore, the BBA is career-oriented for the German, European and international job market.
Studies & international skills
The program starts with the fundamentals of business administration, students travel to Germany for a summer school to enrich their social skills, university experience, and international exposure. Through the second year, students focus on mastering the best practices in Management, Human Resource, Marketing, Finance,... before choosing their major's field.
Innovation & experience in Germany
The students experience their first professional experience, they face a customer-oriented situation through the SAP Next-Gen innovation project before starting their specialization year and exchange semester in Germany. They complete their program with an internship and present their final graduation project.
To be eligible for this study program, the future student must have a baccalaureate degree as well as a minimum level in English (B2 Level).
Master of Business Administration MBA
The GBS’s Master of Business Administration is the only MBA program in the region accredited internationally and as a German state degree. Designed for professionals, entrepreneurs, engineers, and managers, the program is offered in blended learning to suit professionals' schedules and to guarantee the needed flexibility.
MBA week-end Sessions
The program kicks off with a start-up session abroad with teambuilding activities, company visits, and research methods to build and enhance their network. The Start-up sessions took place in 2016 in Pretoria, in 2017 in New York, in 2018 in Paris, and in 2019 in Berlin in the past years.
In addition to the online courses, on-campus weekend sessions and off site visits to partner companies are provided by international lectures from renowned Business schools and confirmed experts.
Global MBA with SRH
The MBA students will have access to the SRH Fernhochschule online platform for the global MBA modules, recorded lectures, Q&A sessions, course materials, and case studies. The SRH online access gives many features with a language Platform allowing the students to learn several international languages, and take advantage of a Job Platform in Germany.
The Global MBA allows the student to apply for a job-seeking visa in Germany.
Certifications and specialization
Furthermore, students benefit from extra certifications provided by partners such as TenStep/PMP, SAP modules such as ERP, FICO, MM, Cloud Analytics, etc.
The MBA program offers a specialisation in sustainable- international management, management in energy business and sales management. At the end of the program, the students submit their master thesis supervised by a member of the international faculty. The colloquium and the graduation ceremony will take place in Germany.
To access the MBA, an initial degree (bachelor's or master’s) as well as a minimum of 2 years of professional experience are required. He/she must also have at least a B2 level in English.
